WASHINGTON, DC – The Washington Ballet’s world premiere of ALICE (in wonderland) is being recognized as an official 2012 Cherry Blossom Festival event. Excerpts from The Washington Ballet’s ALICE (in wonderland) will be included in the 100th Anniversary Commemorative Cherry Blossom Festival Opening Ceremony and Family Days.  The Washington Ballet is excited to be a part of our nation’s history as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the gift of the cherry blossom trees, celebrating the friendship between the United States and Japan and the arrival of spring.The Washington Ballet’s production of Alice (in wonderland) premieres on April 12 with further performances April 13 through 15 at the Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater.
