Amari Rush is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of KIPP DC Legacy, Class of 2024, where he earned Honors and received recognition for his leadership role as the Track team’s manager.

Amari has always had a passion for the arts. He participated in Creative Arts and Photography after-school and summer programs with the Corcoran ArtReach at THEARC during his grade school years. In his free time, Amari continues to enjoy drawing, painting, and photography. Recently, he has expanded his creativity into the kitchen, exploring the “Culinary Arts,” where he showcases his talent and love for preparing meals for family and friends.

Amari has also been an active volunteer in his community for many years. He has worked alongside his grandmother at the St. Paul Methodist Church food and clothing pantry, serving those in need. During the summers, he has dedicated his time to working with students, volunteering, and assisting the elderly and others in need.

As a Receptionist at the SE Campus, Amari greets and assists students and families with signing in, provides information, and distributes communications about the Washington Ballet youth programs. He also helps set up for events and programs. Amari has been a valued member of the SE Campus team for a couple of years and truly enjoys his experience.
