Barbara Bozzuto

Barbara Bozzuto (Thomas Bozzuto) is a distinguished leader and philanthropist based in Baltimore, Maryland. Her extensive volunteer leadership includes serving as Chair Laureate of the Board of Directors for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO), where she also sits on the Endowment Trust Board. She is actively involved with the Center Club Board of Governors, the National Council for the Shrine of Elizabeth Ann Seton, and the Madison Council at the Library of Congress.

Barbara’s previous roles reflect her deep commitment to community and culture. She has been a board member of the Enoch Pratt Library and the BSO, and she has led significant initiatives as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for both National Public Radio affiliate WYPR and St. Agnes Hospital. She also chaired the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra and was on the Advisory Board of The Bozzuto Group and the Maryland/DC Committee for the 2012 Olympic Bid.

Professionally, Barbara owned the Bozzuto/Lowenstein Marketing Group for a decade and has a background in producing Olympic events for television, presenting city and state events, and leading fundraising campaigns. Her notable roles include serving as the Cabinet Member and Director of the Mayor’s Office of Baltimore Promotion and the Arts, Executive Director of Operation Sail Baltimore, and Public Relations Director for “Pride of Baltimore.”

Recognized for her contributions, Barbara has been named one of Baltimore’s Top 50 Businesswomen and Maryland’s Top 100 Women. She has received accolades such as the “Woman We Love” from the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women and the “Distinguished Woman Award” from the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland. She was also honored as the Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

An author of the award-winning photo book “Sailing With Pride” and six children’s books, Barbara is also an accomplished amateur pianist and performer. Her diverse achievements underscore her dedication to cultural enrichment and community service.
