Charlize Villacorta

Charlize is from Novi, Michigan. Her classical training began at age 9 at the Academy of Russian Classical Ballet. Charlize was 14 when she received a full scholarship to attend the Harid Conservatory where she graduated class of 2022. The following season, she was offered a Trainee position with Ballet West, under which she was awarded the Bruce Marks Scholarship after her first year of two. Charlize performed repertoire from many ballets like La Bayadere, Second Before the Ground, Who Cares, and Allegro Brillante, alongside Ballet West Academy. During the Nutcracker of 2022, she was a guest artist participating in Corps work with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet under the directorship of Tom Mossbrucker. Charlize danced in Ballet West’s company productions of The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake. Charlize is thrilled to begin her first season with The Washington Ballet.
