Mario Elefante from Naples, Italy, began dance training at age 9 with modern dance in his hometown. At age 12 he joined The Ballet School of Teatro Alla Scala in Milan for seven years and took part in Alexei Ratmansky’s Sleeping Beauty and in the televised “Danza con me” with Roberto Bolle.

After graduation, he joined Miami City Ballet School on full scholarship in the Pre-Pro Division under Arantxa Ochoa and attended the Royal Danish summer intensive.

In Miami, Mario has had the chance to participate in Romeo and Juliet, Jerome Robbins’s West Side Story, Firebird, and Ratmansky’s Swan Lake with Miami City Ballet, and danced in the role of Melancholic in Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments with Miami City Ballet School. He also performed the soloist role in “Tea” in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker as a guest artist with Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
