Production

Suzi Kilbourne stage managed her first show in 1983. Since then, her path has been winding and her experiences eclectic, with stops along the way for a masters in political management and a law degree. She worked in child advocacy for 20+ years, managing policy projects and national child advocacy events while stage-managing for a concert tap ensemble and solo tap artists. She’s currently the Production Stage Manager for The Washington Ballet. She is also the stage manager, technical director, and lighting designer for Capitol Tap and District Tap Ensembles, and has worked with numerous other dance companies and soloists, including the United Ukrainian Ballet, Chamber Dance Project, Ballet Hawaii, and the Kennedy Center Department of Dance.

Suzi is a member of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA), the United States Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT), and the Stage Managers’ Association (SMA), where she serves on the Board of Directors. She is also working on a book on professional dance production for Routledge Publishing and enjoys mentoring stage managers new to dance.
